Getting started

What is Up2?

Up2 is a random video chat app. Pick a mode and you’re matched with someone new in seconds — one-to-one, or up to four people in Group mode. When a conversation ends, the next one is a tap away.

What are the modes?

Random pairs you with anyone. Friendly matches on shared interests, Dating filters by what you’re looking for, Group puts up to four people in one room, and Blitz is speed-pairing on a 60-second timer.

How do I sign up?

Create an account with your email, Apple, or Google, set up a profile, and pick a mode. That’s it.

Age verification

Why do I have to verify my age?

Up2 is for adults aged 18 or older. Before your first video call we confirm you’re an adult by authorizing a payment card. This keeps minors off the platform.

Will I be charged to verify?

No. Age verification places a temporary authorization on your card to confirm it’s valid — it is not a charge, and nothing is taken from your balance.

Why was my card rejected?

Prepaid cards can’t be used for age verification. Use a standard debit or credit card instead.

Safety and moderation

Do you record my calls?

No. We do not record video sessions by default. Automated moderation may sample frames or audio during a call to detect policy violations, but the raw video is not stored.

How do I report someone?

Every call has a Report button. Tapping it ends the call, blocks that person from matching with you again, and sends the report to our moderation team for review.

How do I block someone?

Reporting a user automatically blocks them, so you won’t be paired again. In Dating, deleting a connection also prevents that person from re-matching with you.

Someone showed inappropriate content. What happens?

Our moderation systems can end a call automatically the moment serious content is detected. Reports are also reviewed by a human moderator, and accounts that break the rules can be warned, suspended, or permanently banned.

Billing and subscriptions

Is Up2 free?

Yes. The free tier includes 3 Random calls per day. Premium unlocks unlimited calls plus the Friendly, Dating, Group, and Blitz modes.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed on iPhone, manage or cancel from your Apple ID subscription settings. If you subscribed on the web, cancel from your billing settings in the app. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period.

I subscribed on the web. Do I get Premium on iPhone?

Yes. Sign in with the same account and your Premium access carries over — no second purchase needed. If it doesn’t appear, use Restore Purchases in settings.

Your account

How do I change my username?

Update it from your profile settings. To prevent abuse, there’s a short cooldown between username changes.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from in-app settings. This wipes your profile, history, and other personal data. For details on what we retain and why, see our Privacy Notice.

My account was banned. Can I appeal?

Yes. If you believe a moderation decision was a mistake, you can submit an appeal from the app, and a moderator will review it.
